With Atlanta being one of the host cities for the world cup, Hartsfield-Jackson Airport/ Capital Signs sought to build out an animation package to launch ATLAS. Atlas is a spherical led display designed and built by Capital Signs, that is meant to be erected in the place of a famous landmark within the airports atrium. It will feature ads and animations that will draw awareness from every traveler that steps though those doors. “From Gates to Goals” is an animation to visualize and represent celebrate this larger effort within the whole airport.
Equilateral design is unique in its execution. In the sense that images will stretch and bend, therefore, it must be adjusted to account for distortion on the top and bottom sections. With it being prone for distortion based on the side you see it from, you have to settle on repeated imagery which is what worked in this case.
